Derived from the Indian gooseberry, amla oil is commonly used for hair health due to its many antioxidant and vitamin properties. Amla oil is very high in vitamin C and also contains a strong amount of vitamins A and B-6. All of these nutrients combined help to support hair health and may lead to stronger, healthier, and shinier locks. Certain studies suggest that amla oil may also help to prevent hair loss and can reduce the symptoms of dandruff on your scalp, such as itchiness or flaking.
To use amla oil, add the oil into a carrier oil and apply it all over your scalp as a hair mask. Leave it for at least fifteen minutes before rinsing it out.
Alternatively, add a small amount of amla oil into your shampoo and conditioners in order to gain the hair-supporting benefits every time you wash your locks.
