Peppermint Oil for Fleas

Many individuals are familiar with the crisp, minty scent of peppermint oil. Besides waking you up and providing an invigorating aroma when diffused, peppermint oil may also be an effective repellant for fleas around your property. This is because fleas dislike the strong smell of peppermint and will generally avoid areas where peppermint is sprayed. 

You can create a homemade flea repellant by mixing several drops of peppermint oil with water and a few drops of dish soap to allow the oil to blend. Make sure the repellant is thoroughly combined and then place it into a spray bottle. Spray along the foundation of your property and around windows and doors to deter fleas from entering.
